God’s Green Team recently took a field trip to Lierer’s Market at 4176 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati.  This market is a low-waste store with the goal of reducing the amount of waste sent to the landfill. They provide sustainable solutions for everyday essentials like pantry items, personal care items, and cleaning products. Shoppers are encouraged to bring your own recycled, reusable containers and bags, and have them filled. You only pay for the weight of the product, not your container. Some items we purchased were oats, nuts, dried beans, flour, spices, dish soap, laundry detergent, and fresh ground peanut butter.  

This store is a wonderful concept and the young couple that runs the market were very nice and willing to answer any questions about their store. They have an informative website that includes a list of the bulk items available for purchase. I highly recommend a visit!
