Green Tips: Convert a Bulb Campaign

July 28, 2024 Blog No Comments

“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house.” (Matthew 5:15)

Our Convert a Bulb campaign is underway! LED bulbs are more efficient and last longer which is a win environmentally and financially. To change all the bulbs on the main floor of the church, we need 120 bulbs (thanks to Tim Reed for the careful count!). If you would like to help us convert one of our current light bulbs to LED, you can take one of the yellow tags hanging from the sanctuary doors. There are descriptions of exactly what model of bulb we need on the front as well as QR codes on the back for online shopping. We of course would like to support local small businesses like A&S electrical supply (5 Connector Dr in Erlanger), Wiseway, and Lighting EFX. Thank you for helping our church go green!

If you have not already changed your bulbs at home, now is also a good time to consider your own Convert a Bulb campaign. Old bulbs can be recycled at the Recycle Hub in Cincinnati or bring them to Beth Jackson at church.
