Green Tips: Reducing Paper Waste

June 2, 2024 Blog No Comments

“The heavens are yours, the earth is also yours, the world and all that is in it.”  (Psalm 89:11)

Across the world Presbyterians are working to promote sustainable practices as one way of taking care of God’s creation. A new group at CSPC called God’s Green Team will be sharing information about sustainable living and earth care.

Tips for reducing paper waste: buy (or make your own!) cloth napkins and use instead of paper napkins. Buy a set of bar cloths and keep next to your paper towels.  The next time you reach for a paper towel, think about using a bar cloth for the job instead to reduce paper towel usage. Skip the question of “paper or plastic” altogether and bring your own reusable bags to stores for your shopping purchases. Keep reusable bags in your car, or buy a lightweight foldable bag that you can keep in your purse or pocket. Small efforts can make a big difference!
