The Finance Committee is
responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping for the
congregation. Developing and tracking the church budget
and expenditures (mission, insurance, salaries, taxes,
etc.) as well as preparing monthly and annual reports
also are part of the committee's responsibilities.
The Finance Committee also hosts the annual pledge drive
and takes care of audits of accounts and procedures/policies.
This committee is also responsible for the financial
stewardship campaign in the fall.
The Worship Committee is responsible for working with the pastor
in the worship life of the congregation, including coordinating
liturgists, sound system volunteers and acolytes, as well as
filling the pulpit when the pastor is away. The Worship Committee
also has the responsibility of maintaining the sound system in the
sanctuary, providing communion bread and decorating the sanctuary
during the various seasons. The Worship Committee also organizes
the Lenten Soup Suppers.
The Church Growth Committee is
active in developing and executing plans for outreach
with such things as newspaper ads and the creation of
CSPC information packs. The Church Growth
Committee is responsible for coordinating the worship
greeters.
The Mission Committee has
a very active role in the church. Much time and
effort is spent on community projects throughout the
year. The Mission Committee is always looking
for volunteers for their events.

The Christian Education
Committee is involved with the planning of Sunday
School and Vacation Bible School. Such
responsibilities include previewing and selecting the
curriculum, video and other educational materials to
be used as well as recruiting of teachers for both
Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. The Christian Education
Committee organizes the children's Christmas pageant and oversees the Youth Group.
The
Nominating Committee is responsible for filling
vacancies on Session and the Board of Deacons by
providing names of members willing to serve in those
offices to be listed on the ballot at a congregational
meeting.
The Fellowship Committee
coordinates church events such as the Children's
Easter party, the Church Picnic, the Mother's Day
flowers and Athletics.
The Building and Grounds
Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the
church property including: lawn
care (mowing and trimming), maintaining the hedges,
shrubs and trees, planting and maintaining the flower
beds, plumbing, painting projects, electrical work,
carpentry projects, maintaining the rental property,
paying the utility bills, snow removal, A/C
maintenance and church cleaning.
