At its stated meeting April 9, CSPC’s session:
-welcomed Aimee Zaye and children Seth and Lena, who joined the CSPC church
family on Easter;
-received communication from Presbytery regarding CSPC’s revised per capita
assessment’
-approved Tim Reed to serve as commissioner to the Presbytery meeting, May 8;
-received a report from the March 27 Presbytery meeting dismissing three
congregations to the Midwest Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church;
-approved sale of scrap metal in church basement by Children and Family Ministry
to help fund nursery furnishings;
-approved up to $2104.25 from Memorial Fund for purchase of nursery furnishings;
-Finance Committee is scheduling an audit, with team to include accountant from
Presbytery;
-authorized Worship Committee to engage pulpit supply for communion service on
Pentecost, May 27; communion will not be served June 3; (Rev. Schafer will be
out of town both Sundays)
-approved
Rev. Schafer’s forming team to report back to session on mission, vision and
core values; those wishing to serve should contact him.
