Summer Accompanist (June 4-Aug 13)
The Accompanist at Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church works under a paid Director of Music to provide instrumental music, accompany a volunteer praise band, and support congregational singing. We are a small, vibrant church looking for a candidate with passion, flexibility, and professionalism.
This is a temporary contract position, lasting from June 4-August 13.
Time: 4-6 hours a week (2 hours onsite)
Salary: $100 a week, paid bimonthly by check.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge, experience, and proficiency playing piano in a broad range of musical styles and repertoires, from traditional to contemporary
- The ability to accompany a volunteer praise band on piano
- The ability to play organ is appreciated, but not required
Time Required:
- This position is for 4-6 hours a week.
- The music director is present at church from 9AM to 11AM Sunday mornings, which includes one hour of practice and one hour of worship.
- The Accompanist has right of first refusal for other services (weddings, funerals, weekday services, etc.). Extra services will be compensated according to the amount of time required to prepare and participate, at a minimum of $50.
COVID Considerations:
- The congregation follows CDC guidance for COVID best practices.
- The worship service is livestreamed and archived on the church Facebook page. The accompanist consents to appear on public video.

Bonus! Community of Faith Presbyterian Church worships in the lower level of Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church from 11:15AM-12:15PM. They will also be looking for a pianist to support their worship for summer 2023. These are two separate positions, but they pair well together!
